An Introduction to Large Format Photography
Do you feel like analogue photography is something you already know to some extent but want to take things to the next level? And do you know that thing where people in old movies go under a cloth cover and then take a photograph on a very old looking camera? Yes? Good. This is what we’ll do!
Large Format Photography is all about slowing down an already slow process even more, but gaining an immense resolution in terms of image quality and expanding on the ability to bend reality to your own creative desire. To date there is still no commercially digital camera available that can match the resolution of a large format camera.

〰️ Jahan Saber
Jahan Saber is a photographer and artist based in Vienna, Austria. He is the co-publisher at 8x10press and of Good News - An ideal photographic journal. His expertise is in analogue photography, specifically film developing and darkroom hand-printing, he is also a Leica Academy Tutor and has been teaching analog photography since 2018. Currently, he is enrolled at the University of applied Arts, Vienna, where he is studying fine arts and photography.
